Tom Schwartz took some heat for seemingly leading Jo Wenberg on in their friends-with-benefits situation. The Vanderpump Rules Season 11 sidekick felt led on, and cried on camera when she told him she needed to cut ties in their friendship.
But as the Vanderpump Rules star recently introduced a new girlfriend to the world and spoke so freely about his feelings, one had to feel a bit of sympathy for the hairstylist who seemed like a steadfast support system for Schwartz in the dramatic time of Scandoval.
One person that doesn’t feel for Jo is Real Housewives of Orange County star Emily Simpson. This lawyer is all about the paper trail, and she thinks that her fellow Bravolebrity had enough proof that Schwartz had no serious intentions.
Emily pointed out that Schwartz “wasn’t making it public” like he did with Sophia Skoro
Emily made her feelings clear during the May 23 episode of her podcast, Poppin Off, which she co-hosts with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp.
“I think clearly Schwartz screwed her over but it doesn’t bother me. I mean ’cause I don’t feel badly for her. She’s an adult woman. I think it was very clear that he was interested in hiding their relationship. He wasn’t making it public,” the RHOC star stated.
Emily is convinced that Jo had the maturity and the evidence to understand what was going on. What she may have hoped for is another story.
“I’m just saying I really don’t feel that badly for her,” she opined.
However, Emily conceded that in the case of Schwartz gushing about girlfriend, Sophia Skoro, during the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 reunion, she “might of felt sorry for [Jo], like, a little bit.”
“Her name is Sophia. She is ridiculously good looking. But that’s like my least favorite thing about her. She’s [expletive] hilarious, smart. She’s got a great career. But anyways, that’s disrespectful to Jo,” Schwartz said, with his former friend seated next to him.
