Jenna Lyons was the most recognizable name among the rebooted cast for Season 14 of The Real Housewives of New York City. The former president/executive creative director of J.Crew was the most well-known member of the new cast. However, by the end of the season, it seemed that we didn’t get to know as much about her as the other ladies. There were things about her life that she just wasn’t willing to share.
Many fans of the show figured that Jenna wouldn’t return for a second season. Some (including RHOC’s Tamra Judge) even felt that she didn’t deserve another shot. However, a few months ago it was confirmed that she reclaimed her apple for Season 15. No one was more surprised than Bravo Daddy, Andy Cohen.
Andy on Jenna’s RHONY return
Andy recently confessed to Us Weekly that he never anticipated Jenna coming back to RHONY.
He explained, “[To be honest], I didn’t think she was going to want to come back. I hoped in the best possible world we would get her back as a ‘friend,’ but she wanted to come back full throttle and I’m so glad she did.”
Andy also teased a “really good” upcoming season with Jenna on board. “I was in a meeting today, kind of a status report about what’s going on. I’m really excited.”
Following the conclusion of RHONY Season 14 in October 2023, fans were convinced Jenna wouldn’t return.
Jenna maintained more privacy regarding her personal life than her co-stars. She’s now maybe-engaged to photographer, Cass Bird. However, she insisted on keeping her relationship off of the show.
“Jenna F*cking Lyons” also opted to fly separately to Anguilla for a cast trip, citing her reluctance to fly coach. Wouldn’t anyone in her position?
Additionally, she skipped BravoCon in Las Vegas in November 2023.
In late November 2023, she cast more doubt on her return during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. When Jimmy asked if she was returning to RHONY, she replied, “I don’t know. I don’t have an answer, I genuinely don’t know.”
Before making her decision, Jenna gave the producers the same condition – she’ll again be keeping her romantic relationship private next season.
Erin Lichy, Sai De Silva, Jessel Taank, Ubah Hassan, and Brynn Whitfield are also returning. New faces Racquel Chevremont and Rebecca Minkoff are rumored to join the mix.
The Real Housewives of New York City is currently filming for Season 15 and is expected to return later this year.
