The franchise that started it all, the Real Housewives of Orange County, is back for Season 18, and fans are more than ready. Last season showed Shannon Beador and her relationship with John Janssen on the rocks. The season also showed Heather Dubrow feeling very left out after Vicki Gunvalson returned as a friend of. Not only was Fancy Pants upset, but she also sold her OC mansion for one rather large, record-breaking deal. So, with Season 17 in the rearview mirror, we are now ready for an incredible Season 18!

Season 18 is fire

The Bravo kingpin claimed that “this season is possibly the best season yet.” Now, we pretty much hear this sentiment from Andy Cohen every season, but the man doesn’t lie. As we usher in the 100th season of Real Housewives, fans are expecting the series to deliver.

She’s back…

The last time the mother of three appeared on the Real Housewives of Orange County was in Season 8. Alexis Bellino first appeared during Season 5 and was quickly dubbed “Jesus Jugs” by Tamra Judge. Even though she won’t be given an orange for Season 18, she is back as a “friend of” just to mix it up. Alexis is bringing drama because she is currently dating Shannon’s ex. John was spotted with the former housewife shortly after his breakup, causing quite an uproar.

Naturally, fans can assume that Shannon is less than pleased with this development. We might get Shannon from Season 12 when she emotionally lost it, cried about her three layers of Spanx, and yelled at everyone. These are the best days of our lives coming up; I can feel it.

Shannon’s DUI

As many fans of the Real Housewives of Orange County know, Shannon found herself in quite a predicament in September when it was revealed she had been charged with a DUI. After a night at one of her favorite spots, The Quiet Woman. Video footage showed the mother of three taking a wide turn and plowing into a front stoop. Shannon then was seen trying to get out of her car with her dog Archie and walking away as if on her daily doggy walk. Shannon’s blood alcohol level was .24, which is three times the legal limit.

The 59-year-old was sentenced to three years of probation and 40 hours of community service. Shannon is also required to complete a nine-month alcohol program. Bravo cameras will undoubtedly have caught the fallout of her DUI. Once again, it looks like Season 18 will be a redemption arc for Shannon, who desperately needs it.

Heather and Tamra are friends

Season 18 will show Tamra and Heather joining back up at the hip. This means possibly more hijinks and champagne than usual. Heather recently took to her TikTok to share insider information about the upcoming season. The mother of four noted, “All I can say is, we were done filming a few weeks ago, and usually after we’re done filming, we have to do like, you know, the confessionals that we do? We usually have to finish those up.”

Heather noted, “The show will start airing, and then you do press, and then you do the reunion, the whole thing.” But “some additional things happened” post-filming. This breadcrumb tells fans that something big went down. Heather added, “It was so crazy that they picked the camera back up” and resumed filming “last weekend.” Now every ounce of me hopes John dropped to his knee and proposed to Alexis because that would be bananas!

Jennifer needs damage control for Ryan

Let’s be honest: no one was really a fan of Ryan Boyaijan. Fans were introduced to him as the boyfriend of newcomer Jennifer Pedranti, but he felt like a snake oil salesman. So when news broke that the serial cheater had been involved in a pretty big gambling screen, you know Bravo cameras had to be there. In May, Ryan was linked to a $16 million scheme that involved MLB player Shohei Ohtani. At the time, the story was all over the news.

The Feds learned that the Los Angeles Dodgers player’s interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara, had been stealing the from the star over the last two years. The funds were then allegedly used to pay off the gambling debts Ippei acquired through illegal sports betting.

Insiders told ESPN that Ryan was an associate of the bookkeeper who allegedly worked with Ippei to wire the funds. ESPN learned that the illegal bookmaker was under investigation. Mathew Bowyer told the interpreter to wire funds to “Associate 1,” who was Ryan. Mathew and Ryan then used the funds for their real estate projects. There is no way Jen can make Ryan look redeemable this season. There is just no way!
