The Valley’s Jax Taylor is known for laying it all out on the table. And this time he is speaking his truth on Vanderpump Rules star Tom Schwartz and his new girlfriend Sophia Skoro. Their relationship is currently garnering heat from reality stars and fans alike because of the large age gap between them; 18 years to be exact. But what does Jax think of their age difference?

One thing that has remained consistent throughout VPR and afterward was Jax and Tom’s friendship. While Jax went toe to toe with Tom Sandoval as to who was the number one guy in the group, Schwartz was always happy to be number two or three. This kept any problems between the two of them at bay, minus the times when Jax and Tom’s ex Katie Maloney would go at it.
However, the good vibes only lasted so long, and Jax had a thing or two to say about Tom’s new relationship. Bravo’s The Daily Dish reported Jax’s feelings on Tom’s age gap with Sophia. Jax said, “When he told me, I go, ‘Tom, how old is she?’ He’s like, ‘She’s almost 25.’ I’m like, ‘Wait, she’s 25?’ He’s like, ‘No, almost.’”
After a bit of interrogation, Jax was able to get Sophia’s true age. Tom told him that she was, “Like 23 and a half.” A startled Jax replied, “I’m like, “Oh, my gosh, she’s 23 and a half?’” This prompted him to add that Sophia was “very young” and “she could be my daughter.” Oh, snap!
While Jax threw some shade, he also had very nice things to say about the couple. Jax noted that Sophia was “so sweet.” He also added about Tom, “But he’s happy, and that’s all that matters.” Ain’t that the truth?
Jax may be team Tom and Sophia, but others might not be. Tom’s ex-BFF Jo Wenberg threw some shade of her own when said that Tom was dating a fan. While you can’t make everyone happy, it seems Jax approves of Tom’s relationship. At least for now!
