Everything To Know about Meri Brown’s ‘Four Marriages’

No matter what Meri Brown says, I can’t ever kick the feeling that the first wife of Kody Brown thoroughly enjoys seeing her name in the media. The Sister Wives star first opened up about her life in 2010 when the series premiered. The goal of the TLC show was to share that polygamy could be a working part of the United States. And for years, the Brown family seemed to fulfill that promise. But along the line, Meri lost her place and eventually fell out of favor with Kody.

Since their divorce in 2014, Meri was put out to pasture by the patriarch. But she has kept up to date on her social media. The mother of one hasn’t let up with her constant posting and clickbait. So when she recently posted about a possible marriage, fans were whipping out the spotlight so they could grill the Sister Wives star.

Meri blasts clickbait

This week, Meri took time out of her busy schedule to combat the massive number of false stories that have gone to print about her. She shared a photo of “four marriages” that she had taken part in. Each photo had Meri in a conservative lace dress. Two photos had Meri sporting sunglasses, and one had the Sister Wives star in a veil. To the naked eye, it was obvious that these photos were not of a real wedding.

The first wife of Kody captioned the photo by saying, “Not only did I launch my Worthy Up biz this week, apparently I also got married! Four times! And I’m sure there’s more to come!? This girl over here is BUSY!”

Meri then went on to add, “Listen, don’t slow down on your life. Keep it full speed ahead. Do something every day that moves you in the direction of your dreams. We only have this one life, and it gets shorter every day. Don’t get to the end of it and wonder what could have been.” Meri ended her post by writing, “Even if you want to get married four times in a week, do it!”

How many times has Meri been married?

Contrary to popular belief, Meri has only ever been married once. The Utah native said “I do” to Kody in 1990. At the time, Meri believed she would be held on a pedestal. Meri and Kody tied the knot less than six months after he fell to bend and knee. At the time, Meri believed they were soul mates. In the family memoir Becoming Sister Wives: The Story of an Unconventional Marriage, Kody once shared, “Meri was so cute and sweet when I met her that I had a hard time suppressing my hopelessly romantic nature.”

In 1993, Meri introduced Janelle Brown to Kody. As they say, the rest is history. In 1995, Meri and Kody welcomed their only child, Leon Brown. Meri wanted a bigger family but was unable to conceive. Even though Kody went on to take three more wives, Meri stayed faithful to her one and only husband.

Meri has dated

Perhaps the confusion came from Meri’s recent boyfriend, Amos, who had been married four times. If I am being honest, it didn’t necessarily feel like Meri even liked her beau. During one Instagram post, she noted, “He’s not 6 foot 6, nor is he a pilot, but he loves Christmas almost as much as I do, and we laugh a lot together, both of which are important elements to a relationship!” Meri also introduced Amos on her Instagram Live, but he didn’t seem comfortable in front of the cameras.

However, only four months into her new journey, she once again took to her Instagram to tell followers that she had broken up. Meri wrote, “Just because I care a lot about someone, and him me, does not equate to full compatibility for a long-term relationship. When we have different dreams and aspirations, different communication styles and values, different visions for our futures, and these things aren’t aligning, it’s then that we need to make hard decisions.”

For now, Meri is single as a Pringle, but who knows, marriage could eventually happen in her future.
