After weeks of intense speculation, the question of who is the Banker on Deal or No Deal Island has been answered. With Episode 12, and Part 2 of the finale airing on NBC, audiences got to meet the Banker as he met the final player of the season face-to-face, before battling against them at the Temple. So, who was the Banker on Deal or No Deal Island Season 1? Spoilers lie ahead for the Deal or No Deal Island finale…
Deal or No Deal Island Banker revealed
The Banker on Deal or No Deal Island is Howie Mandel.
While it was widely speculated that Howie would be revealed to be the Banker, it’s now been confirmed. The original Deal or No Deal host is the Deal or No Deal Island Banker. Howie arrived on a helicopter after being summoned by a flare, and immediately stepped into the persona of the Banker. He wasted no time in throwing barbs at Jordan Fowler, the last island guest standing.
He teased Jordan, saying he didn’t think she had what it takes to beat him and secure a good deal. In the end, however, she had the last laugh. She secured an incredible deal of $1,230,000, and had just $1,000 in her own case.
Unfortunately, her case didn’t contain the top prize of $13,857,000, which would have been the biggest prize in television history. What we also now know, however, is that another batch of contenders will get the chance to go up against the Banker on his private island, all hoping to take home a whopping cash prize.
Deal or No Deal Island will return for a second season on NBC.
