Stop the presses! There’s a very important distinction to be made about the split between Dorit Kemsley and Paul “PK” Kemsley. Although they confirmed that they’re taking some time apart after nine years of marriage, allegedly, divorce isn’t on the table right now for the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills couple. So, maybe there’s still a chance for love after all?
Putting the marriage on pause
Radar Online got the scoop on the Kemsleys and their hesitation to use the D-word. A source close to the couple claimed that they’re “definitely not talking about divorce.” Allegedly, they’re really trying to work through their issues without blowing up the marriage completely. The source added that right now, they are “committed to keeping things peaceful and harmonious.”
Of course, a reality star claiming that they aren’t actually divorcing but just separating is a tale as old as time. We just went through this back-and-forth with Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky. If Dorit starts trotting around with a random country singer and getting matching tattoos with them, that might be a cause for concern.
At this point, it’s not completely clear what caused the uncoupling between Dorit and PK. On RHOBH, we saw a little bit of tension between them as PK blew off Dorit’s PTSD from being robbed at gunpoint. However, as rumors swirled that there could be trouble in their relationship, the two went above and beyond to shoot down the rumors. They claimed everything was fine. Clearly, that wasn’t true.
According to the insider, the main focus right now for Dorit and PK is their children. They’re “prioritizing” Phoenix and Jagger and “hoping this time apart will be the best thing in the end.” We’re rooting for them.
