Throughout Vanderpump Rules Season 11, we’ve seen Tom Sandoval trying to deal with the fallout from his affair. Forgiveness hasn’t been easy, because Tom’s deceit went down multiple times, over the span of many, many months. During the finale though, it felt like the tides were starting to change. Now, forgiveness feels like it’s creeping closer, and it’s all starting with Scheana Shay, who’s beyond appreciative of Tom’s efforts made for her finale performance.
Then, Lala Kent went off on a heated monologue about Ariana Madix’s rise to the top. Just before Lauren’s Utah side engaged though, Tom confronted Ariana to finally have a bit of a chat. Not having it, Ariana left the finale party with her new man Daniel Wai. In seeing this, Tom had a hot mic moment, but before we all get amped up about this, he’s now sharing that what we all heard was not what he had meant to say.
Words are hard sometimes
To recall, right after Lala’s ranting about Ariana’s current god-like status aired, Tom Schwartz labeled her pissed-off behaviors as “a plot twist.” In response, Sandoval was heard saying, “I love it. It’s good for me.”
Naturally, when Tom appeared alongside Jax Taylor on Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen brought this all up. “During tonight’s hot mic moment, of you saying that Ariana leaving looks good for you, what did you mean? Because it looks bad, you saying that,” Andy stressed.
“No, no. That wasn’t what I meant. What I meant was, I did my job, and everything came together. That’s what I meant. Like, that, you know, throughout this season, you know, like we have to obviously have those tough conversations, and I felt good that I at least showed up and did my job,” Tom explained.
And there you have it. Unless you’re not buying it, that is.
The Vanderpump Rules Season 11 reunion begins on Bravo next Tuesday, May 14, at 8/7c.
TELL US – DO YOU THINK THAT TOM’S CHANGING THE NARRATIVE ON HIS HOT MIC MOMENT BECAUSE HE WASN’T EXPECTING HIS WORDS TO AIR? OR NEH, ALL GOOD, HE’S JUST NOT THAT GREAT WITH WORDS?
