It has to be a pretty emotionally exhausting time for Real Housewives of New York alum, Bethenny Frankel.
Since March, Bethenny’s been through a lot. It began with her claim that she was punched in the face amid an epidemic of assaults on women in NYC. Late last month, her mother – who she had a very complicated relationship with – succumbed to lung cancer.
Now, a source has revealed that Bethenny and her fiancé, Paul Bernon, split up somewhere in that time frame as well. The two had been together for about six years.

A mutual friend of Bethenny and Paul spoke to Us Weekly. According to them, Paul and Bethenny split about two months ago. The source explained that “[the relationship] just wasn’t going to work” due to their personality differences.
The source added, “They are so different – he’s an under the radar kind of guy.” As we know, Bethenny is anything but “under the radar.”
The friend also revealed that Bethenny “still has the ring.” She’s worn the massive rock in a few of her social media posts since the rumored split.
Bethenny and Paul met on a dating app in October 2018. After a year together, they spent some time living together in Boston before a quick breakup in October 2020. They reunited in January 2021 and announced their engagement in March 2021.
Last summer, Bethenny responded to rumors of her and Paul breaking off their engagement. She explained that though they were still together, they had no plans to marry in the near future. Probably a wise decision, given her ridiculously toxic marriage/divorce from Jason Hoppy.
Neither Bethenny nor Paul have commented on the news of their split. However, we’ll probably hear about it on her Just B podcast or a chaotic makeup review x hotel seafood feast video soon.
