Dance Moms Reunion Producers Asked JoJo Siwa To Call Abby Lee Miller

The cast of Dance Moms gathered for their first-ever reunion in several years, but Abby Lee Miller didn’t get the memo.

However, that’s no surprise, considering several of the original cast members, including Maddie Ziegler and Brooke Hyland, don’t have the best relationship with Abby. But JoJo Siwa does! And according to her, producers tried to put her up to something “shady” on the day of filming.

JoJo says there’s trauma on both sides…

During an episode of her podcast, JoJo revealed that the producers of the Lifetime reunion special “kept wanting to me to call Abby” while they were filming.

She later said that it seemed “shady,” considering many of the girls don’t speak to their former dance teacher. “Paige, Brooke, and Chloe don’t have any [relationship with Miller], and it is not a healthy end of a relationship. It is very messy,” she said. “It is very traumatic on both ends.”

JoJo, who has become a massive star since Dance Moms, said she “put my foot down” after their request. “I’m not only putting myself in an awkward position of calling — and in this environment that no one invited her to — but also, I’m putting Abby in a weird situation where she’s talking to people who … she doesn’t necessarily know how to talk to them.”

“And then Paige, Brooke, and Chloé, I was like, I’m not gonna do that to them either because this was somebody who was a massive figure in their life, that walked out of their life. There is real trauma there, and I didn’t wanna put anybody in that situation of, like, ‘Hey, let’s see how this goes.’ No way.”

The Nickelodeon star has publicly expressed her admiration for Abby and reiterated that on her podcast. “One thing is I will never lose my respect for Abby, ever, for as long as I live,” she said.
