Ryan Seacrest and Aubrey Paige have pulled the plug on their relationship. We all know that Ryan’s a pretty public persona. He’s co-hosted everything from Live with Kelly and Ryan, to American Idol, to On Air with Ryan Seacrest. Soon, he’ll be adding on yet another notch to his belt, as the newest host of Wheel of Fortune. Sorry Andy Cohen. I know that you wheely wanted this gig. I’m also really sorry for my pun.
Even with his very public presence, this now 49-year-old kept his romance with Paige, a 26-year-old model, fairly private over the years. That said, there were a few times that these two made random public appearance together. In addition to this, they also both used their social media platforms to sweetly lend their support(s) to the other. Every single time that one of these two things happened, they both presented as happy.
It’s a shame that these two didn’t stay the course. Yet, in honor of their three years spent together, let’s take a look back at all things RyAub. And yeah, no. That didn’t work. No wonder these two never had a cutesy nickname.
Ryan and Paige’s first post as a couple
Ryan and Paige first soft-launched their romance all the way back in 2021. After being spotted together in the Hamptons over the Memorial Day weekend, rumors about their pairing began swirling.
While the two neither confirmed nor denied their pairing, the following New Year’s Eve, Paige finally posted-up with her guy. “Safe to say the best part of 2021 was meeting the most incredible man,” she gushed. Some happy memories to look back on, at the very least.
Kelly’s live acknowledgment came next
In March of 2022, Kelly Ripa, Ryan’s former co-host on LIVE, threw a birthday party for Mark Consuelos, her hot AF husband. In attendance was Ryan, who arrived with Paige. At the party, Kelly gave a toast to Mark, but she also used her time at the mic to poke fun of her costar, as these two often did during their time together on-air.#
“We’re all happy you’re here. And that you exist, because we weren’t sure there was anybody,” Kelly joked.
In their following taping together, Kelly once again rehashed this monumental public sighting. Here, she stated that “The most exciting guest that came was Ryan’s plus one, as acknowledged by every single speech given, because we were all so excited. We were starting to be like, ‘Maybe he doesn’t have a special person. Maybe we should check on him more often,'” Kelly quipped, while Ryan sat nearby, letting his quotable co-star ramble on.
Luckily for him, Kelly approved of Paige. “If you two break up, I will go into seclusion. I am so fond of her,” Kelly stressed.
This was followed up by a red carpet debut
Following Kelly’s jokes, this duo remained pretty low-key. But then, in June 2022, they made their red carpet debut as a couple.
While in attendance of the world premiere of Jennifer Lopez’s documentary Halftime, they posed side-by-side, all smiles. They clearly were enjoying each other’s company, happily taking in the opening night of the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.
When Ryan exited LIVE, Paige was there
In April of 2023, Ryan announced that his time on LIVE was coming to an end. He’d spent six seasons beside Kelly, and it was just time for something new. Even though Paige attended Ryan’s last taping with his parents, she also chose to offer Ryan her full support online. Her post arrived on the same date of his final appearance.
“Ryan, never have I ever met a more inspiring man. You make it look so easy, but the truth is there is just nobody quite like you. I am so beyond proud of you. Not just for your work ethic, but for your caring heart and the genuine love that you give to others,” she penned.
Paige also noted that she was so “excited for this next chapter. May it be filled with total presence, joy and relaxation in every single moment. The best is yet to come,” she ended.
The support before the split
Once again, for the most part, the entire course of this relationship was kept private. Hollywood’s an invasive place. Therefore, I can fully understand Ryan and Paige’s desires on staying mum. However, Paige recently popped on over to On Air with Ryan Seacrest just a few short weeks ago, breaking their typical route of less is more.
As for her time publicly spent with Ryan, Paige was there to help promote her new wine game, Sippin on Somethin’. Cue Ryan’s support in 3, 2, 1. “Congratulations @aubreypaige_ for bringing this great idea to life, so proud of you,” he posted on April 4, 2024.
Ryan and Paige’s bittersweet goodbye
“After three beautiful years together, Ryan and Aubrey have mutually decided to part ways,” a source revealed to PEOPLE. This leak arrived in April, 2024, only a handful of days after Ryan lent his support for Paige’s new game. However, “They plan to stay in each other’s lives as good friends and support one another’s endeavors,” this source added. One of Ryan’s reps then confirmed their split.
Sad. Yet, it’s so nice to hear about a break-up that didn’t result in a complete break-down of a genuine relationship. Hopefully Ryan and Paige can continue to support each other for many additional years to come.
