Hands down, Kelly Clarkson is known for her amazing vocal pipes. The Texas native first found the limelight on Season 1 of American Idol. It was there she blew away the competition and even won over Simon Cowell. After winning the famed singing competition, Kelly had her first real big hit, Since U Been Gone, and the rest, as they say, is history. In September 2019, The Kelly Clarkson Show first aired, and along with it a Kellyoke segment. Even though she usually performs alone, there are special occasions when she takes part in a duet. So, let’s look at some of the best performances to date. Kelly’s gift of the gab has made her daytime talk show extremely popular because fans feel they are sitting down with an old friend.

Kelly and P!nk have performed quite a bit together. And with two powerhouse voices, it isn’t hard to understand why. Perhaps one of the most moving duets was when the ladies performed Who Knew. The song was about P!nk’s childhood and how she dealt with losing a close friend to a drug overdose. According to the pop singer, this was the one song she hadn’t gotten tired of performing after all these years.

While on a Song and Stories segment, the ladies sang, with Kelly accompanying her friend. The lyrics were genuine, and the song hit almost every viewer. The compilation was pure joy as fans wondered if they could get a full version of the song. It’s no wonder P!nk is a returning guest.

Taylor Dayne

Taylor Dane is known for the 1988 Tell It To My Heart, but she reemerged on The Kelly Clarkson Show to sing alongside her friend. Taylor shared her colon cancer journey. The diagnosis changed her outlook on life and music. The hitmaker of dance music opened up about her partnership with Wacoal to help with research on breast cancer. Taylor wanted to make sure she kept her voice and shared her experience as a survivor. Arguably, Kelly is the greatest female vocalist of the 21st century, so adding Taylor to the mix was extra special. The duet was powerful as the ladies stood side by side, singing about the power of love.

Alanis Morissette

Gosh, I love some Alanis Morissette music. My formative teenage years were spent listening to her sing about girl power and men while I drove to and from high school. So when she got on stage with Kelly to sing a few of her songs, I wasn’t about to miss out on this. Kelly attributed her songwriting ability to Alanis as she gushed about her impact on her life. Alanis’ music was poignant and even encouraged Kelly to buy herself a dictionary. So when they sang Ironic, it was an instant duet classic. The joy radiated out of Kelly as she sang with her idol, and viewers just ate it up.

Teddy Swims

With a smooth R&B sound, Teddy Swims took over the stage while performing his duet with Kelly. Teddy was discovered after performing covers of his favorite songs on YouTube. The mix of R&B, soul, country, and pop won fans over, so the duet was a match made in heaven. The singers performed Lose Control. Kelly can voice blend with literally anyone, and this performance proved it.

Lainey Wilson

For those who don’t know, Lainey Wilson is a country singer who moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue her dream. So it made sense that Kelly and Lainey sang Country’s Cool Again because both had such strong ties to the country singing world. The duet was powerful and only made fans want Kelly to create a country album more. Lainey had the thickest country twang but kept up with Kelly easily. Kelly never overpowers her guests and often lets them take center stage. Each performance just proves that we need more Kellyoke in our lives.
