Shut. Up. Jo De La Rosa has returned to her old series, and I love this for the Real Housewives of Orange County. The last time we saw Jo, she was wearing a French maid costume and cleaning her former fiancé Slade Smiley’s house after losing a bet. In Seasons 1 and 2, Jo’s relationship with Slade was her main storyline, until it wasn’t.
You see, Slade wanted Jo to fulfill the typical stay-at-home role, helping to care for his two young sons whenever they were in his care. But as Jo was a lot younger than Slade, she struggled with his plan. Therefore, she started singing “Reaching for something in the distance, So close you can almost taste it,” and bailed. Ever since, she’s been writing the rest that’s still unwritten, which we will soon learn more about on RHOC Season 18.
Zero French maid uniforms are in sight
Okay, look. Tamra Judge is a pot-stirring queen. She might be trolling us all here, but my gut tells me that this is a legit statement on her behalf. Taking to X, formally known as Twitter, Tammy Sue just posted an image of herself and Jo, looking very closely knit. As for her big reveal, Tamra captioned her image with “Jo’s back in the mix,” followed by a hashtag of #RHOC.
At this point, zero additional statements or announcements have been made on this matter. All we can now is stalk every single one of these cast members’ socials, lurking for further clues on Jo’s filming status.
What might Jo add to RHOC?
Alright, Jo. I just tried to insert an updated shot about your life, but your socials won’t let me share anything. That’s okay though, because I found something better, and it helped to remind me about your time spent on RHOC. Remember when you filmed a confessional in a bikini?
If not, the internet does, and I’m thankful. These days, confessionals are filled with glam and couture, making me miss the earlier, less polished showings on Bravo.
That said, what I remember the most about Jo is her dreams of becoming a pop star. She was actually the first Real Housewives star to venture out into the music industry. If she returns to this series, we’ll hopefully get an update on this sector of her life. We’ll also likely learn more about her new, not-Slade spouse, whom she met two years ago on a dating app.
As long as she leaves her boas, French maid costume, and collection of Sky Tops behind, I’m all here for Jo’s return.
The Real Housewives of Orange County is streaming on Peacock.
