Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor are putting their little boy Cruz first. Despite the fact they’re going through a pretty tough separation, they’re co-parenting to the best of their abilities, and that’s been pretty great to see. In fact, just this past weekend, the pair put on their game faces, reuniting for Cruz’s third birthday party. However, nothing’s ever this easy, because even at this sweet little event, a bit of a disaster still transpired.
It’s the asteroid for me
Zack Wickham, who stars on The Valley with Jax and Britt, attended Cruz’s big dinosaur, 3-Rex-themed day. Luckily for all of us, he filmed (and then edited and also posted) the exact moment that a caketastrophe unfolded. While Cruz gently dangled from his mom’s arms, Jax leaned over on the table, helping his estranged wife blow out the candles on Cruz’s multi-tiered cake. And just like that, one side of the table caved in, sending the cake toppling down in turn.
In his edit, Zach cheekily put in a falling asteroid. This hit Cruz’s cake at the same moment that everything went to hell in a beer-cheese soup bowl. Thankfully, those nearby helped to somewhat repair the cake, and from the looks of things, Cruz’s party continued without any further disasters.
Crisis averted
Poking fun at their bad luck, Brittany posted a reel to help celebrate their little man’s big day. “Cruz’s 3-Rex party was a SMASH!,” she joked, adding in an emoji of a laughing face. “Thanks so much to everyone that came out to celebrate our little guy! He had a fabulous time and it was a perfect day full of memories that will last forever! lol Special thanks to our party planners & vendors that made this day so special!,” she ended.
Throughout her post, Cruz is seen jumping around on various trampolines, enjoying his sweet little buddies, and smiling broadly, with snacks in his hands. Overall, it looks like he had fun, despite the situation with his cake. And really, that’s all that matters.
