This season on Vanderpump Rules, we met Ann Maddox, the overworked assistant of Tom Sandoval. However, Ann’s not happy with her gig as Sandoval’s maid, so she’s turned to Ariana Madix, looking for her next possible job. In their still-shared home (bad move if I’m being honest), Ariana interviewed Ann, as Sandoval listened just above, behind the railing of their second floor. Not happy with Ann’s desire to leave, Sandoval spoke to her, and whatever he said made her cry.
Full disclosure time, as Ann and I are acquaintances, and we chat here and there, so I know full-stop that she’s lovely. In an effort to be fair though, I can understand how Sandoval feels cheated on by his Girl Friday, and I can also see how this interview must’ve been uncomfortable for him to overhear, in the safety net that is his home, of all places. However, making someone cry likely means that he let out his frustrations a bit too harshly, which HOW COULD YOU DO THIS QUESTION MARK? But now, Sandoval’s taking things even further, threatening legal action against his former employee.
Cue the Sandoval shutdown machine
On the Vanderpump Rules After Show, the Three Billy Goats Gruff joined forces. Here, they briefly discussed Ann’s career moves. On this, Sandoval, Tom Schwartz, and Jax Taylor were all on Sandoval’s side. Here’s what they had to say.
“At a really delicate, fragile time in my life, like, she asked Ariana to work for her,” Sandoval began. Interrupting, Jax asked, “As she was working for you?” Quickly replying “Yes,” Sandoval added, “literally on a normal Monday workday, wearing like, a suit, which she never does.” Enter in Schwartz, helping out his buddy, asking “Were there cameras up?”
When Sandoval answered “yes,” Schwartz nodded, saying “Ok, that’s why. [She’s] putting on a performance.” Jax then asked Sandoval if he’d made Ann sign an NDA. “Yeah…she started a podcast…it’s called I Signed an NDA,” Sandoval lamented.
“So if she signed an NDA, what could she possibly have to talk about?” Jax then asked. At this, Sandoval threatened, “I don’t know. But she’s about to get a letter from my lawyer.”
Those are fighting words. Ann, if you’d like to respond, you know how to reach me.
