Are you ready to catch a catfish? Netflix’s The Circle is coming back for Season 6! The social media competition game is bringing an all-new group of “influencers.” Netflix just dropped the trailer, and they teased that these new players are ready to “connect, chat, strategize, plot, and flirt their way to the top.”
Of course, after six seasons of the show, they have to shake things up a little bit. This season’s twist is that one of the players isn’t human. They’re an Artificial Intelligence bot meant to throw the players for a twist. Will the AI reign supreme as the ultimate catfish? Circle, let’s meet these players.

Michelle Buteau is returning as the host, and the official synopsis for Season 6 promises “catfish, connections, and chaos” as the influencers compete for a grand prize of $100,000.
Including the AI, we have three players competing as catfish. Historically, that strategy hasn’t been successful. Throughout the show’s run, only one catfish has ever won the grand prize. Usually, the catfish players get exposed, so it will be interesting to see if the humans can snuff out the AI bot.
Employing Max the AI as a “competitor” on the show also presents a lot of questions, like what happens if Max wins? Who gets the grand prize? Does it go to Michelle?
Season 6 of The Circle premieres on April 17. Netflix will drop the first four episodes with new batches of episodes dropping every Wednesday for a total of 13, hour-long episodes.
