Rachel Leviss has found her voice. And like many other Bravolebrities, has created it in the form of a podcast.
Rachel walked away from Vanderpump Rules after a tumultuous season during which her affair with Tom Sandoval was discovered. She blocked her ex-lover and spent several months in a mental health facility.
Largely off the grid for the rest of 2023, Rachel debuted her podcast in January on iHeartRadio. It’s been a successful few months, and the former Vanderpump Rules star recently reflected on the experience during a recent interview.
Rachel calls her podcast a “positive place”
“I’m able to speak freely,” Rachel told People at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
“Oh, I have so much more control when it’s my own podcast,” the former Bravolebrity said of the contrast between her Rachel Goes Rogue project and being on Vanderpump Rules.
“When you’re on a reality TV show, you’re just living your life and you don’t know what they’re going to air, or how they’re going to edit you to look a certain way, so with my own podcast, I’m able to speak freely — I know what I’m going to say won’t be edited out, and I just have a voice,” she added.
Rachel used her platform to discuss her reflections on the affair with Sandoval. She’s also had discussions about mental health and wellness. The former beauty pageant contestant explained that Rachel Goes Rogue “is all about my mental health journey.”
She clarified that she’s unpacking, “what I’ve learned through this toxic experience of being on a reality TV show, and what I’ve learned through the time that I’ve taken myself in a treatment facility.”
Ultimately, fans can continue to enjoy “a bunch of mental health [conversations] with “experts that know about those certain topics.”
But Rachel has her inner circle supporting her as well. She also invites “friends” on as guests.
“It’s a positive place,” she concluded.
Catch Vanderpump Rules Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
