As we are all learning on Vanderpump Rules Season 11, Scheana Shay feels things too. Yes, Ariana Madix is Tom Sandoval’s main victim. Yet, Scheana’s also hurting after his affair, and we need to talk about that. Also yes, Tom Schwartz cheated on Katie Maloney by briefly kissing Scheana years ago, yet, this long-ago ‘buried’ kiss actually ‘traumatized’ Scheana, and she’s now spilling her tea as to why.
Whew. Let’s unpack this all, shall we? Yes.
The trauma
Imagine being Schwartzy and reading this week’s headlines, that your long-ago make out session traumatized the other party. I hope that he has his dogs this week to hug… To fully understand Scheana’s statement though, we have to go all the back to the beginning of VPR. In the first episode, we already knew who Sheshu was, as she had just appeared briefly on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
On RHOBH, Scheana served Brandi Glanville at SUR. This was awkward, as Scheana had been engaging in an affair with Brandi’s now ex-husband, Eddie Cibrian. On this, Scheana’s always made mention that Eddie hadn’t been fully honest with her. Therefore, she’s not a cheater, as she didn’t know about Eddie’s true status.
As she just re-explained on her Scheananigans podcast, “Someone I was with back in 2006 was cheating on his wife. I didn’t know that. I am not a cheater, but I was not about to get back to this group of women in L.A. who hated me for being a home-wrecking whore. I’m being like, ‘By the way, when your man was drunk, he tried to kiss me. I said no.’”
After her shared kiss with Schwartz went down, she “buried it,” because if it ever saw the light of day, she might once again be labeled as a cheater. “I was, like, traumatized by it, because despite what the world may think, this home-wrecking whore version of me, I am not a cheater. I don’t cheat on people,” Scheana stressed.
We hear you, Jancan. But next time, you might want to fess up sooner, since nothing ever stays a secret for long.
