Tom Sandoval isn’t doing himself many favors on Vanderpump Rules. His co-stars like Scheana Shay and Lala Kent keep trying to throw him a redemption bone, but he just keeps making decisions that don’t help boost his reputation. The way he interacts with his assistant Ann Maddox on camera is one prime example.
Ann is Sandoval’s assistant who is stuck right in between his co-habitation with Ariana Madix. It’s truly proving to be a thankless job, so it’s not surprising to hear she’s no longer working for Sandoval. Now, thanks to a teaser for next week’s Pump Rules episode, Ann was put directly in the crossfire of Sandoval and Ariana. It doesn’t look like it ends well.
Ann is trying to jump Sandoval’s ship
In the teaser clip, Ann is seen sneaking around Sandoval in his house to get interviewed by Ariana to potentially become her assistant. Sandoval was literally upstairs working out while Ann was whispering her career aspirations to Ariana at the kitchen counter. It’s a moment of genuine comedy.
As expected, Sandoval eavesdropped on the conversation and wasn’t happy. “Ariana already got all of our friends now she has to take my assistant,” he complained in a confessional. “She could have anybody that she wants work for her.” While his frustration is reasonable, he should expect a little vindication from the ex-girlfriend he cheated on with her best friend. The act of stealing an assistant seems innocent in comparison.
While Ariana seemed excited during Ann’s interview, she didn’t want to create more drama in the situation by poaching Tom’s assistant. “I was like, ‘Look, in the future, maybe,’” Ariana said to Katie Maloney when telling her about Ann’s interview. “But I feel like right now, he potentially could be very petty and very vindictive.”
Later on in the teaser, Ariana revealed to Katie that Ann got in trouble with her boss for the conversation. “So then I’m getting ready to leave and she’s in the kitchen crying because Tom is coming down on her,” Ariana explained. Justice for Ann, truly. She’s the true underdog of VPR Season 11.
