90 Day Fiancé is known for bringing the drama with its many interesting cast members. Some of them have … less-than-desirable personality traits. But that’s what makes them so fun to watch!
However, many fans have noticed that lots of cast members display narcissistic tendencies. Merriam-Webster defines a narcissist as “a person who has an excessive interest in or admiration of themselves.” A narcissist is someone with an inflated sense of self-importance who is wrapped up in their idea of their success. Narcissists tend to have a difficult time feeling empathy towards others because they’re too selfish and preoccupied with themselves.
90 Day Fiancé viewers took to Reddit to discuss which cast members they think are narcissistic. Of course, these Redditors are not psychologists, and neither am I. Therefore, I can’t diagnose any 90 Day Fiancé cast members (or anyone at all) with actually being narcissists. Viewers, on the other hand, have their own opinions. Read on to see which cast members made the cut.
Rob Warne
Rob Warne from 90 Day Fiancé Season 10 has been shocking fans since his onscreen debut. And not just because of his criminal record. Since the moment Rob’s fiancé Sophia Sierra came to the US, viewers noticed he was making her arrival all about himself. Rob prepared a dance at the airport to “surprise” Sophie. Then he talked ad nauseam about how proud of himself he was for his dance.
He also handed Sophie a bouquet at the airport and proposed to her again. But when discussing this with the cameras, he continually focused on how impressed he was with himself and said nothing about his feelings about his fiancé being in the States. Throughout the season, Rob showed little to no consideration for Sophie and completely focused on himself.
“Big Ed” Brown
“Big” Ed Brown is well-known as one of the biggest narcissists in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise. CatchTypical6127 took to Reddit to discuss Big Ed’s narcissism and explain that they were “amazed” when Ed was “actively gaslighting women on camera.” SnooMacarons4844 also pointed out that when Big Ed showed up in the Philippines to meet his partner, Rosemarie Vega, he “had a sticker of his own face on his suitcase.” How narcissistic do you have to be?
In the past, fans have also slammed Ed for his emotionally abusive and narcissistic behavior towards Liz Woods. Viewers were saddened when the pair tied the knot but relieved when there were signs that they split up not long after.
Angela Deem
Angela Deem has long been criticized by fans for being emotionally and verbally abusive to her partner, Michael Ilesanmi. Reddit user Affectionate-Fun-307 pointed out that this kind of abuse is a “perfect example of narcissism 101.” Angela has consistently been jealous and controlling of Michael since day one. Yet she always finds a way to be the victim in the scenario, which is another classic narcissistic trait.
Jesse Meester
Jesse Meester, like Angela, always seems to need to be the victim in every situation, even when he’s the one causing the issues. One classic example is when Jesse started a fight with his then-partner Darcey Silva at her 43rd birthday dinner because he felt she spent too much time on social media. Jesse ended up leaving the restaurant without eating any of the food.
Back at home, Darcey was sobbing on her bed, and Jesse came to see her. Instead of apologizing for starting a fight on her birthday, Jesse looked furious that Darcey was crying and told her that she had “no clue” how much he “loved her,” with the implication that therefore, she should not be upset. Redditor Kabo0se took to Reddit to express that the way Jesse handled that situation was “classic narcissistic behavior,” adding that he should be used as an example to teach students about narcissism in college. Yikes!
Natalie Mordovtseva
Natalie Mordovtseva has been criticized by viewers for her immature, controlling, and narcissistic behavior. Fans of the show discussed her behavior on a Reddit thread, noting that she “constantly infantilizes herself.” One of the ways Natalie does this is by expecting her partners to overly help her, as exhibited by her actions on 90 Day: The Single Life.
As shown in the series, Natalie seems to expect her new non-exclusive love interest Josh to find her a place to live and a job when she decides to move to LA with her mother. Reddit users noted that this is a sign of narcissism. In addition, Natalie constantly thinks of herself and not the other partner in the relationship, and always needs to paint herself as the victim. Natalie famously gave her now-estranged husband, Mike Youngquist, his ring back, and then painted herself as the victim when he didn’t want to pursue the relationship anymore. Come on, Natalie!
