So it looks like there’s more drama ahead for Vanderpump Rules, as Lala Kent confirmed a feud with Ariana Madix. This comes after the two filmed the Season 11 reunion.
The confirmation came while Lala was filming an episode of The Talk. She was asked about rumors that she and Ariana had a full-blown falling out during the reunion taping. Before the words even came out, it was impossible not to notice that something was indeed amiss.
Ariana and Lala are locked in a feud
Lala faced the rumor head-on. “I think the exact tweet was ‘Ariana eviscerated Lala at the reunion, and it was friendship ruining,’” she started. Without skipping a beat, she added, “And only one of those things is true. I’ll let y’all decide.” Some suggest the friendship is over, because Lala would never admit to being “eviscerated.”
So it looks like things did indeed boil over during the reunion filming. Honestly, considering all the tension during this season and the passive-aggressive (and sometimes just plain aggressive) back-and-forth between a lot of the cast members, it was only a matter of time.
Even Andy Cohen teased that this particular reunion had its share of calm and rational discussions as well as full-on flare-ups, screaming, and crying. If Lala is to be believed, there’s also gonna be a major friendship breakdown.
Practicing compassion
This season, Lala and Scheana Shay have often been called out for their perceived support of Tom Sandoval after his cheating scandal with Rachel Leviss.
It’s often been implied that they were betraying Ariana by giving her ex a shot. However, for her part, Lala doesn’t see her support for Ariana and a bit of compassion for Tom as being mutually exclusive. She told US Weekly that she can do both. This, despite saying differently in the past, and demanding the same of her own friends.
“Before we started filming this season, I knew I was going to potentially bring another child into the world, and I just knew, I need to be soft, I need to try to practice compassion,” she said. “I appreciated it when people did it for me, and I would appreciate it if someone did that for my daughter if and when she messes up tremendously.”
It certainly seems like Lala let this mindset guide her in her interactions with Tom. I guess we’ll see if this led to a friendship-ruining fight with Ariana during the reunion.
