It seems that Ariana Madix’s star is shining too bright for some of the cast to handle. There’s been some rumblings within the Vanderpump Rules crew as to whom, and when, the Something About Her co-owner revealed her exciting casting on Dancing with the Stars and Chicago.
Why question why Ariana kept it under wraps? Scheana Shay’s hurt feelings on the matter ignited a conversation, which turned into a discussion about responsible behavior towards business partners. Somehow, Lala Kent turned it into a comparison between Ariana and her ex-boyfriend. And Katie Maloney to ex-husband Tom Schwartz.
Did Ariana leave Katie and Something About Her hanging?
During the Pump Rules After Show, Lala and The Valley star Brittany Cartwright riffed on Ariana’s secretive demeanor when it comes to her contracts.
And Lala made sure to defend Scheana with a little tongue-in-cheek comment about the Good As Gold singer finding out from social media that Ariana got the deal that she was hoping for.
“Why am I finding out with random people in Iowa like that my best friend is doing Dancing with the Stars? Like ‘I’m just sitting here like a fan it seems,'” Lala joked.
Brittany asked, “Didn’t that just happen with Chicago too? Cuz I know that everybody was upset about that because her own business partner didn’t know about it.”
The Kentucky native revealed that even Katie did not know that Ariana’s role in Chicago would take her to New York while they were working to open up their sandwich shop.
“Well, that was wild,” Lala agreed. “For her to not tell Katie… Something About Her is Schwartz & Sandy’s 2.0. Ariana is Tom Sandoval and Katie is Schwartz. Like, literally, is anybody else seeing this?”
It’s a nod to Sandoval’s flakiness after his fall from grace last year. After creating a public relations storm for Schwartz & Sandy’s, the VPR star took off to tour with Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras. Thereby leaving Schwartz to deal with bad reviews and boycotts. Could Ariana really be compared to her ex-boyfriend when it comes to being a business partner? Lala seems to think so.
