It looks like we’re going to be watching two breakups unfold in Season 2 of Buying Beverly Hills. Farrah Brittany (AKA Farrah Aldjufrie) just confirmed that her split from former fiancé Alex Manos will be covered in the upcoming Netflix show, along with the split between her parents, Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky. It’s almost as if relationship trouble runs in this family.
Farrah spoke to Entertainment Tonight with a sneak peek of the drama that’s set to unfold. She admitted that it’s going to be challenging for such a “sensitive subject” to play out on TV. On the other hand, this is what happens when you join the family business of reality television!
The Breakups of Beverly Hills
Farrah’s recent interview marked the first time she’s publicly commented on her breakup. We already predicted they called it quits though because last year, fans noticed she was no longer wearing her ring, sparking rumors about relationship trouble.
In September 2023, sources close to the couple revealed that they called off the engagement after spending nearly two years engaged. At the time, insiders blamed it on a changing dynamic in their relationship.
“She waited a long time for the engagement,” an insider shared, “and the dynamic of their relationship had changed.”
When chatting about the breakup, Farrah echoed that same sentiment. She said that the pressures from her career and family made things difficult in her relationship with Alex. Slowly but surely, they fell out of love.
“I guess it was a slow sort of unraveling of two people that love each other very, very much, but actually weren’t seeing eye to eye on a few things,” Farrah revealed.
She continued, “We decided to go our separate ways, unfortunately, but no bad blood there, and I’m just focusing on me and my family. I don’t have – and work – the energy to be thinking about much else right now.”
According to Farrah, the decision to call it quits with Alex wasn’t an easy one. Perhaps that’s why it took her so long to publicly confirm it. She said that throughout Season 2 of Buying Beverly Hills, we’ll see her “dealing with a lot.” Her career, her family, and her relationship were all adding pressure.
“It was really hard,” Farrah shared. “The whole season, I was dealing with a lot, obviously, trying to focus on my career having so much going on in the family, in my own personal relationship.”
Buying Beverly Hills Season 2 premieres Friday, March 22 on Netflix.
