If you thought Bravo’s legal drama reached its climax, just wait. Leah McSweeney’s lawyer claims there’s a lot more trouble for Bravo coming down the pipeline. He also had a few choice words for the bevy of Bravo stars who have publicly supported Andy Cohen over the last few weeks.
Leah’s lawyer, Gary Adelman issued a statement to Us Weekly about the ongoing legal battle. He’s fully aware that he and the former Real Housewives of New York City star are losing in the court of public opinion. However, he’s confident that justice will prevail for his client.
Strong words from Leah’s lawyer
As a reminder, Leah claimed that Bravo discriminated against her for not allowing her to seek treatment for her alcoholism while filming Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip. She also alleged that Andy regularly crossed boundaries as an executive producer by partying with the Housewives and offering out cocaine in exchange for favorable treatment on the network.
Andy has denied all of it, and tons of Housewives have spoken out in support of his character. That doesn’t concern Gary.
“There are more lawsuits coming and there are more people who are going to speak out,” Gary urged. “It doesn’t matter what people say or think — that Andy’s a good guy, or that you should expect to drink, or that you should expect this behavior.”
Gary continued, “What’s going to matter is what the law thinks of it. And we believe the law thinks this is wrong.”
Leah and Gary have made it extremely clear that they aren’t backing down from this lawsuit. Neither is Andy. His team has been working overtime to refute Leah’s allegations. They denied any wrongdoing and accused Leah of trying to stir up “fake news.” They asked Leah’s team to retract their accusations about Andy’s cocaine use. Then, they threatened their own lawsuit.
Leah’s legal team refused to walk back any of their claims. In response to Andy, they accused him of trying to use his “power in the media to scare and intimidate people.” Nevertheless, there’s clearly no way to scare Gary and Leah away from this case. They want to take this all the way to court.
