In June 2023, Lisa Vanderpump announced a new, upcoming show with Hulu, Vanderpump Villa. Now, eight months later, prospective fans received an extended trailer.
Hulu released snippets before the fact, but the newest preview was marked as the “official” trailer. In just two days, the trailer garnered over four million views on YouTube. This could be a major hit.
Vanderpump Rules fans have seen Lisa kill it in the restaurant industry. So, how will she fair as a hotel manager?
Vanderpump Villa’s inappropriate employees
On March 6, Hulu dropped the official trailer for Vanderpump Villa. The trailer saw Lisa warning her staff “Don’t go crazy tonight,” with the guests’ arrival slated for the next day. In another clip, Lisa stood with her staff, presumably to welcome the guests, when one of the employees dropped the glasses atop their serving tray. A classic move if ever we’ve seen one. Looking at you, Below Deck.
As viewers were introduced to the cast, one of the servers, Hannah, compared the Villa to life in college, adding, “Not that I went to college.” Some of the trailer’s spiciest drama came from Hannah and the lead server, Marciano. The two “hooked up” according to Hannah, only for Marciano to later kiss one of the guests. Yikes.
“What is wrong with him?” Hannah asked. Previously, Lisa needed assurance that the relationship wouldn’t affect her “business,” but she should’ve known better than to ask for that. For this circumstance or another, cast members began fighting in front of Villa guests. “I did not work this hard to have these little whippersnappers screw it up,” Lisa told the camera.
The trailer invited audiences to “Come for the decadence” and “Stay for the drama.” The trailer ended with a staff meeting where Lisa lectured the “whippersnappers.” Some of them were visibly in tears.
Vanderpump Villa is set to premiere Monday, April 1, on Hulu.
