Rumor Jax Taylor Broke up With Brittany Cartwright Due to Weight Gain Dismissed

Last week news came out that former Vanderpump Rules sweethearts Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright had separated.

After nine years together, four years of marriage, and one child (Cruz Cauchi, two-and-a-half), Brittany has moved out of their shared home in Valley Village. Supposedly, one of Brittany’s “close friends,” comedian Tammy Pescatelli, spilled the beans in a social media post, suggesting that Brittany’s weight gain had rendered her no longer “attractive” to her husband.

But Pescatelli has now stated that she never posted any such thing. “I do not know Brittany or Jax,” she said on her verified Instagram. “This is a horrible rumor to perpetuate on people who are already going thru a rough time.”

No truth to the rumor about why Jax and Brittany broke up

The comedian claims the account that posted the false rumor is a “fake account … that keeps spamming people.”

“It is diabolical that some sick people would want to add to [their pain],” she continued. “I am wishing Brittany, Jax, and their son nothing but love and peace.”

The Valley stars’ courtship was featured on Pump Rules. Their 2019 Kentucky Castle wedding, officiated by NSYNC singer Lance Bass, provided content for much of Season 8.

The couple was fired from VPR following Season 8 for accusing fellow cast member Faith Stowers of a crime she didn’t commit. Ironically, Jax cheated on Brittany with Faith during a brief breakup in 2017.

Brittany revealed the shocking news on her and Jax’s podcast When Reality Hits on February 29. ” Yes, marriages in general are very hard,” she said. “And I’ve had a particularly rough year this past year.”

“Jax and I are taking time apart,” she announced. “I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health.” Britt has previously said that she and Jax have been fighting a lot in the past several months. She just needed to remove herself and their son from a toxic situation.

“I’m taking one day at a time,” the Kentucky native concluded. “I don’t know what the future holds, but right now, my focus is on being the best mom to Cruz.”

The Valley premieres March 19 on Bravo.
