Chelsea Blackwell and Jimmy Presnell didn’t make it to the altar during Love Is Blind Season 6. However, they’re not on the same page about what led to their split.
During a tense conversation in the latest episode, which dropped on Netflix March 6, Jimmy decided to end things after listing a trove of reasons why he felt they wouldn’t work out. Chelsea was understandably upset, storming off during the scene with a face full of tears. And during a new interview with Us Weekly, she detailed her thoughts.
“I was really, really blindsided,” Chelsea revealed. “We had our ups and our downs — and our downs were down — but our ups were so good to this point. A week before that, we were over the moon [and] we were so good. We were just right before we walked into that date; we were talking about our wedding songs at the reception.”
Jimmy says Chelsea breaking his trust is what led to their break up
Despite Chelsea’s feelings regarding the end of their engagement, Jimmy said it was more about trust than anything.
“She broke my trust in a big way, and that really, really hurt me,” he said, regarding the moment Chelsea revealed Jimmy slept with one of his friends. “And it was all I could think about. And that came from a place of me caring about my friends and not wanting my friends’ details and everything out there. I loved her.”
Jimmy wasn’t Chelsea’s only connection inside the pods. The reality star had strong feelings for Trevor Sova but surprised everybody, including him when she ultimately chose Jimmy.
“I was fairly confident going in, so I was definitely shocked when the first words out of Chelsea’s mouth, I could tell that Jimmy already proposed to her. I was not ready for that at all,” he said in an earlier interview.
