Erika Jayne Teases ‘Personal Journey’ of Bet It All on Blonde TV Special

At the end of the Season 13 finale of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, we caught a glimpse of what the audience would be in for at Erika Jayne’s then-upcoming Las Vegas residency show, Bet It All on Blonde.

Her show ran from August to December 2023 and wasn’t without its setbacks. Tickets weren’t XXX$PENSIVE due to low sales. And, Erika caught criticism from dance music artist Amber for lip-syncing one of her songs without permission.

Apparently, Bravo decided that there was enough interest in a pretend pop star’s allegedly shadily-funded career comeback to make a two-part documentary about it. Erika talked about what we can expect ahead of tonight’s premiere of Erika Jayne: Bet It All on Blonde.

Erika’s doc shows the highs and lows of her journey

Erika caught up with Deadline to share her doc-making experience. “This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to watch me rebuild, reimagine, rebirth and to do it in the place that I love the most, which is on stage,” she said.

She acknowledged the privilege of having her journey documented, but admitted it was also a challenge. “It was wonderful,” said Erika. “But, very tough to do at the same time.”

EJ has been notoriously closed-off ever since joining RHOBH. However, the documentary required her to reveal her authentic emotions. Particularly, as she navigated her (eventually) ex-husband Tom Girardi’s legal battles after he was accused of being an evil thief.

“This is a safe space; this is my place. This is my world, my home, my show, my people that I’ve chosen to be around me [and] to create this amazing piece that we put together,” explained Erika.

Erika wanted to show another side of herself

Erika says the doc is very different from RHOBH. “That already has a completely different dynamic. I don’t feel like I’m in a group of women that I have to defend my position or be criticized for something. This was a real journey, a personal journey, and that’s why you see really who I am.”

Another thing the documentary captures is her struggle to kill choreo after several years removed from furiously “patting the puss.”

“I felt very disconnected from the persona that I had built for so many years, the performance persona named Erika Jayne. So it’s hard, and you can see it in the doc,” she shared.

Erika wants the takeaways to be that her main love is performing. And, she has other facets besides what RHOBH shows.

“Perhaps they will see something different and learn something different about my past or who I am outside of the group. That’s all I can hope for because we had a great time, a great run of shows. I want to perform again [and] can’t wait to do it.”

Erika Jayne: Bet It All on Blonde premieres Wednesday, March 6 at 9/8c on Bravo, right after Part 2 of the RHOBH Season 13 reunion.
