The drama from Tom Schwartz’s kiss with Rachel Leviss, especially in connection to his ex-wife Katie Maloney, was eclipsed by the cheating scandal between Rachel and Tom Sandoval.
There was a buildup to the hookup between Schwartz and Rachel during Vanderpump Rules Season 10 in that she was forbidden fruit in Katie’s eyes. However, Scheana Shay encouraged the duo to have at it anyway. Finally, they shared a kiss pool-side at the cast trip to Mexico for the Good As Gold singer’s wedding.
But was it worth all the hype? The betrayal of Katie’s wishes? And the very evident production set up of the venue? Schwartz revealed if the kiss was good all in a recent interview.
Schwartz said the felt kiss was “forced”
On February 27, Schwartz appeared on the Skinny But Not Fat podcast hosted by Amanda Hirsch.
She asked the Winter House star if the kiss with Rachel was “bad.” He replied, “We just don’t have any chemistry.”
“It was just — by the way, I’m a very good kisser,” Schwartz added. “I pride myself on that. That was just not it, it was just awkward.”
It also felt “forced” to the Schwartz & Sandy’s co-owner, though he blames alcohol for it even happening. “[It was a] when in Rome, why not, type of situation,” he said.
There’s no need to point out that Rachel did have chemistry with Schwartz’s bestie Sandoval. Perhaps knowing that they had hooked up had an affect on his ability to enjoy the kiss with Rachel.
Schwartz insisted that he “certainly wouldn’t have made out with her,” had he known that their affair was ongoing. “I knew that they had had an encounter, but I didn’t know that they were still going,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, Rachel left the series without having her say. This kiss has been all but forgotten in light of heavier things.
