Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have fielded a lot of criticism amid The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13. Now, they have to deal with a call-out from the likes of Howard Stern.
Howard’s takes are far from always on the money, but he may have a point with this one. The radio host was commenting specifically on Kyle and Mauricio’s decision to hold a family meeting on camera for the world to see.
He may not have realized it, but Howard was also making a broader point about the lengths reality stars will go to for fame. Did Kyle push herself too far this season? Well, see what Howard had to say below.
Howard calls out Kyle while Mauricio was “slugging” wine during talk with kids
In a recent episode of his show, Howard said he was a huge RHOBH fan who watched the show “religiously.” However, despite his fanaticism, he had a criticism: “One of the gals on there, Kyle … it looks like her marriage is on the rocks. She calls a meeting with her children and discusses it with them on camera.”
He continued, “I’m like, ‘That’s the craziest sh*t I ever saw.’ The husband’s sitting there … he seems in on it. But the family is so hellbent on being famous they bring the kids — young kids — on camera.” Howard admitted that he loved the drama but still felt there was something wrong with the whole situation.
“Kids are crying. … I’m a divorced guy.” He said he couldn’t imagine having to tell his kids and do “the most horrible thing you can do to them” on camera, especially with the awkwardness of waiting for production to set up.
As for Mauricio, Howard said, “And the husband, he said he got a glass of wine. He goes, ‘Excuse me,’ he’s pouring a glass of wine, okay, ‘cause he’s slugging it down during [the conversation].” Howard called the whole situation “the greatest trainwreck I’ve ever seen. This poor woman wants to be famous so bad, she dragged the kids in.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion continues Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
