Ahead of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 reunion, online conversation was focused on a text that Dorit Kemsley received from Kyle Richards. To Dorit, the text read as an attempt to ‘silence’ her.
Fans had noted that Kyle seemed to be doing everything in her power to control her narrative this season. So, the idea of a “manipulative” text didn’t seem so far-fetched. Moreover, Dorit must’ve felt very used during Season 13.
Kyle relied on Dorit’s friendship a great deal. It would’ve been much better for Dorit’s image had she not followed Kyle like a dog throughout the season. And how did Kyle repay that loyalty? By saying they weren’t really friends. With all this weighing on their minds, the two had it out during the reunion.
Dorit calls Kyle “a punisher” after text
“I know your nature,” Dorit told Kyle. “If I say something that upsets you, you’re a punisher, you’ll shut me out. We hadn’t spoken in a couple of months and then all of a sudden you text me the day before the reunion. Do you really think that I’m an idiot?”
Dorit further expressed that the text “felt very manipulative,” adding that “It’s not like I’m gonna come here and try to destroy you.”
Kyle simply responded that the text was “not meant to be manipulative in any single way.”
Kyle and Dorit then discussed their friendship, particularly Kyle’s claim that it was “an exaggeration.” Dorit said that comment “stung.” Kyle defended the claim by saying Dorit hadn’t been a good friend to her in asking about her marriage on camera.
She also pointed out the two had rarely even had lunch outside of filming. Despite all of that, she said, “That does not mean you are not important to me. You are very important to me. I love you very, very, very much.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 reunion continues next Wednesday, March 6, at 8/7c on Bravo.
