The friendship between Dorit Kemsley and Kyle Richards hit the rocks during Season 13 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. While Dorit lamented that Kyle had replaced her with Morgan Wade, Kyle said that they were never close friends. Well, that was news to Dorit. What would really be news was if Kyle’s sister, Kathy Hilton, was the reason for the rift.
Just before filming the RHOBH reunion, Dorit admitted that this was the first, and only time, that she and Kyle had filmed a reunion when they weren’t on good terms. But then came the text message!
Kyle sent Dorit a long text message, which Dorit felt was “so manipulative.” So, Dorit shared parts of the text message. I would buckle up for this reunion. And did I mention that Kathy is making an appearance?
Did Kathy Hilton cause drama between Dorit and Kyle?
In a sneak peek of the first part of the Season 13 RHOBH reunion, host Andy Cohen said that he felt the friction began at the reunion last year. “I can say this with absolute assurance, there’s nothing I’ve ever wanted more than for you and Kathy to be okay, period. I have a relationship with Kathy, which was independent of my relationship with you,” Dorit stated. She added, “I didn’t want to get in the middle.”
Kyle responded, “You didn’t know her that well.” Is Kyle jealous? Dorit replied, “I had never spent time with Kathy with you up until she filmed the show.”
Still, Kyle wasn’t done slamming Dorit. “My point is we were closer and the conversations that we were having,” Kyle said, “led me to believe that you seemed to be very disappointed in her behavior.”
But Dorit was ready for Kyle. “Only when you would tell me stories that I never knew about from the past, obviously, I felt bad. They were stories and I don’t wanna bring up here,” Dorit explained. “That is the only time that I would say, ‘Oh my goodness.'” No, Dorit would rather share it when it is in text message form.
But Kyle wasn’t putting up with Dorit’s excuses. “No, it was the stuff that happened about Aspen,” she stated. Oh, the Aspen of it all! Remember how Kathy allegedly terrified Lisa Rinna with her meltdown and then Rinna decided to quit the show? Good times!
Fingers crossed we don’t spend too much time discussing that dumpster fire.
