It seems like Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams Guobadia is trying to get ahead of something. Seemingly out of nowhere, Porsha filed for divorce from Simon Guobadia, her husband of about fifteen months.
There’s been no indication of trouble in the marriage, but there’s definitely been trouble in Simon’s business and personal life. Amid some interesting revelations about Simon’s background, now P says she signed a prenup before the marriage and she wants that thing enforced. Radar has the scoop.
Porsha went with the Big D(ivorce)
First we were excited to learn Porsha is coming back to RHOA. Then we were excited to learn SINGLE PORSHA is coming back to RHOA. My friends, there is a difference. Before cutting Simon loose however, she wants to make sure the prenuptial agreement is honored.
Per the divorce filings, the former couple are “living in a bona fide state of separation.” They have no kids together, Porsha has Pilar from her relationship with the Hot Dog King of Atlanta. Consequently, the petition states Porsha is “entitled to a divorce from Husband on the grounds that the marriage is irretrievably broken … and there are no prospects for a reconciliation.”
The prenup was dated November 17, 2022 “which sets forth each party’s separate property interests and marital property interests.” Further, “Wife requests that said Prenuptial Agreement be enforced by this Court and be made a part of this Court’s Final Judgment and Decree of Divorce.”
P’s attorney also included, “Wife is hopeful the parties will reach an agreement settling all issues pending between them; however, if such an agreement cannot be reached, Wife reserves the right to amend this Complaint accordingly.”
Additionally, Porsha wants Simon to pay her legal fees regarding this case – but his funds may or may not be tied up with other issues. The divorce is currently in progress.
