While Carl Radke has expressed his displeasure at ex-fiancée Lindsay Hubbard after she questioned his sobriety, Lindsay believes that fans of Summer House will understand why she did it when they’ve seen Season 8 and gotten the context.
Speaking to US Weekly, Lindsay promises there’s more to the story. “I think that once you see the episode, you’ll see the bigger, fuller story that comes with what happened in the trailer,” she explained. “Everyone is going to have their opinions.”
Why did Lindsay question Carl’s sobriety?
She shared that she was worried about Carl and reiterated that when the episode was shot, she was still in love with him. And, as far as she knew back then, they were going to get married.
“Any questioning I did came from love and concern as you would with any decisions or odd behavior from your partner,” Lindsay explained. She hopes that fans of the show don’t judge until they see the whole episode.
“If you’re displaying odd behavior, I’m going to start trying to figure out where that odd behavior is coming from,” she added. “But it’s only because I love you, and I’m concerned.”
Back at the start of Season 8, the couple were in the midst of wedding planning. Then, Carl called in the cameras to end things. Lindsay claimed she was “blindsided.” But Carl has a different story.
Lindsay admitted it isn’t going to be easy for her to watch the upcoming episodes, although finding closure after the breakup is helping.
“I just have to keep reminding myself that I’ve already lived this,” she said. “It was one of the most traumatic experiences of my adult life, but it’s already done. I’ve already gone through it. I’ve already done the healing,” she finished.
I can’t blame her. Despite having healed, it’s never pleasant watching your relationship break down along with countless viewers.
