Let’s talk about Tom Schwartz. The Vanderpump Rules star had the potential of taking Season 11 by storm if he had just been able to free himself from Tom Sandoval. Unfortunately for Schwartz, the one relationship he catered to was not his marriage to Katie Maloney, it’s his friendship with Sandoval.
These two have been thick as thieves, literally. Schwartz allegedly knew about Tom’s affair with Rachel Leviss long before he admitted to it. According to Schwartz, his “shock of a lifetime” wasn’t that his good buddy cheated on his partner of ten years – it’s that Sandoval and his side-piece didn’t live happily ever after.
“They risked it all”
Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes had a little affair of their own, were booted off morning television, and now they have a podcast. Schwartz was a guest on the latest episode of Amy and T.J. and shared his surprise about the demise of Rachel and Sandoval.
“Honestly, I was very surprised,” Tom began. “Shocked, the shock of a lifetime. And I don’t even say that lightly because I really thought they risked it all. They burned their lives down for love or lust, whatever you want to call it. It makes people do stupid things,” he shared.
Kind of makes Schwartz burning down his own life because he could not function as an adult look pretty tame at this point. He continued, “I think it was lust under the cloak. I think they really did at one point love each other. I mean, listen, from what I saw, they deeply cared about each other and were in love. That’s from my perspective. You know, I don’t know how they feel about it in hindsight.”
Ah yes, true love under the soft glow of galaxy lights and jam band music. Taking shots with beer chasers and delving into the uncharted world of face-painting. True love at its finest.
“Retroactively, I think they have a much different take on it, and I think they’re both kind of referring to it more as an addiction, a lust, or a mistake of epic proportions,” Schwartz explained. “But you know, at one point, yeah, man, they were… It feels twisted to say this, but they were really deeply in love. I think, yeah, yeah, deeply.”
Schwartz is “doing something crazy”
As for Schwartz’s relationship status, he’s making new moves. Allegedly. “For the first time in my life, I’m doing something crazy. I’m setting boundaries,” he admitted. And he may or may not have a new love interest. “I mean, can I just say I’m super happy right now? Well, I don’t know if I’m, I don’t think I’m single,” Schwartz teased. Oof, best of luck to that woman.
