Scandoval had the uncanny effect of propelling the entire cast to higher stardom. Sure, the affair was between Tom Sandoval and Rachel Leviss, with Ariana Madix being the jilted party, but the entire cast benefitted from the exposure.
James Kennedy, for one, outshined all the competition by calling his co-star a “worm with a moustache,” and “poo-poo head” during the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion. It was an event fraught with emotions, and the famed DJ was just being himself. Much to the delight of viewers.
As such, he’s enjoyed new levels of exposure and fandom. And that’s translated into lucrative wins and new business deals.
James calls the new fan energy “funny and great”
The British native exclusively told DailyMail.com about the changes he’s experienced in the last year, including over-zealous fans.
“The fans have been crazy,” James revealed. “Walking down the street you’d see guys now [fist pumping], “Oi, oi, oi! James!” I never got that three years ago from Vanderpump Rules fans, you know?”
“So yeah, it’s really funny and great to see. Some people can’t even help themselves,” the Bravolebrity added. “They have to run up and tell me their life story and how they got into [Pump Rules]. I just think it’s so funny.”
The fan base wants to see James perform. And that interest has gotten him a Las Vegas residency at LIV Nightclub. His infamous “See You Next Tuesdays” DJ sets were featured for years on VPR. But now, Lisa Vanderpump’s SUR restaurant in West Hollywood is mobbed by fans hoping to party to the famed DJ’s music.
“See You Next Tuesday at SUR was never busier,” James revealed. “I mean, lines out the door from like half a mile. It was always at capacity. People coming in screaming, it was a lot of fun.”
A tour is now in order for James, with more exciting plans to come. He explained, “I’ve been DJing too on my off days, so the crowds have been incredible all across America, Canada. I’m gonna be touring in Mexico next month so I’m very excited.”
Perhaps some of James’ new endeavors will be featured on future episodes.
