Dorit Kemsley of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and her hubby, Paul “PK” Kemsley, are spilling the beans on their marriage like they’re hosting their own tell-all special. After navigating the rollercoaster of life, love, and reality TV for nearly a decade, this dynamic duo is getting up close and personal on Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast.
So, Dorit and PK may not have been the power couple of RHOBH Season 13. But, they were giving us a peek behind the curtain of their marriage, including the bad with the good. And who doesn’t love a Jagger and Phoenix scene sprinkled in?
What do Dorit and PK Kemsley think of each other?
Sitting down with podcast host and producer Alex Baskin, it’s like Dorit and PK have turned the honesty dial up to 11. PK, who’s usually seen cheering from the sidelines (or stirring the pot, depending on the day), opens up about the highs and lows of being Mr. Dorit Kemsley.
He’s dishing on everything from his take on the show to what it’s like being hitched to a reality TV fashionista. Spoiler alert: he adores Dorit, calling her an incredible wife and mom, but admits that living in the limelight has its challenges.
Dorit, on her end, isn’t holding back either. She praises PK for being the brainiest guy she knows but doesn’t shy away from pointing out that he’s not too keen on being known as ‘Dorit’s husband.’
Yep, it seems Mr. Kemsley has a bit of a shadow complex and isn’t fond of being in the background. And, according to Dorit, this has brewed some tension, especially with the whole Housewives fame game putting them on unequal footing in the public eye.
What can be a bit difficult
Dorit says that their marriage isn’t without difficulties. “There is a lot of love between PK and I,” Dorit said. “He’s my family. But, he can also drive me up the wall, and I wanna kill him and vice versa. But there’s nothing in our lives that we don’t do together.”
The couple admitted that one of the things that caused problems between them was their home invasion. Dorit wanted to stay home more. Meanwhile, PK had to travel a lot, keeping them apart. It was a challenge for them and made them feel disconnected. Both feel as though they’re better together, which is probably why their marriage has survived this long.
