Well, it’s over. Southern Hospitality star Joe Bradley confirmed that he broke up with Danielle Olivera from Summer House. The two dated for a solid four months, which is like years for reality stars. They met at BravoCon, but last month, he raised eyebrows when he said he was “pressing the brakes” on their relationship. Now, it sounds like he slammed the brakes.
Joe broke the news about the breakup during an interview on the Gabbing with Gib podcast. He chopped it up to the fact that he just wasn’t ready for a girl like Danielle. She’s a 35-year-old big city girl and he’s a 28-year-old nightclub worker in Charleston. The only thing they really had in common was that they were both on Bravo. It sounds like he probably told her, “It’s not you, it’s me.”
Joe wasn’t ready for Danielle
The Southern Hospitality star explained, “I just don’t think I’m in a position as a 28-year-old guy who works at a nightclub to be the caliber of man for Danielle Olivera, who is just ahead of me in life in a lot of ways, as far as maturity and where she stands in her career.”
He continued, “I’m in this tiny little quaint town in Charleston, and she’s running laps in the big city like she always has.”
Although the two aren’t moving forward with their relationship, it sounds like there weren’t any hard feelings. Or, at least that’s how Joe explained it. He described the split as a mutual one.
“I think it was amicable. Both of us kind of knew. It was definitely mutual,” Joe explained. “I think we both knew it was time, but we didn’t want to let go because we do have strong feelings for each other. It sucks.”
Joe continued to call Danielle one of his closest friends, which is wild for someone you’ve only known for four months. He said that she might have been the right girl at the wrong time, and he’s holding out hope that they might rekindle their flame in the future.
“Who knows what will happen later on? Maybe [she was] the right girl at the wrong time, but I adore Danielle and I can’t think of a single negative thing to say about her. I can think of 100 negative things to say about me right now,” Joe continued.
