It’s the reunion we’ve all been waiting for. Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro are about to come face-to-face for the first time in over a decade this season on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. According to Jenni “JWoww” Farley, the reunion was well worth the wait.
The Jersey Shore star attended the People’s Choice Awards and dished to People about what we can expect from Season 7 of the MTV spinoff. Not only are we going to see all nine cast members under one roof for the first time in franchise history, but she also teased that the reunion between the two exes would leave our jaws on the floor.
A reunion 10 years in the making teased by JWoww
Sammi and Ronnie dated on and off for five years and quickly became one of reality TV’s most toxic couples. They finally called it quits for good in 2014. Of course, Sammi proceeded to take a major break from reality TV.
More recently, Ronnie took a break from Jersey Shore: Family Vacation to focus on his mental health. When Sammi decided to return to the spotlight by joining the cast in Season 6, everyone began wondering about a potential reunion between the exes. It’s finally happening in Season 7. Apparently, the moment was just as dramatic as you would expect.
“When I tell you that your jaw will hit the floor, your jaw will hit the floor. I have goosebumps right now,” JWoww teased.
She continued, “It just needed to be done. We all had to live under a house together, it just needed to be done.”
Sammi’s not happy
Although JWoww got goosebumps talking about the reunion between the exes, Sammi wasn’t thrilled about having to reunite with Ron. She recently said that she was “not happy,” and she probably wouldn’t have even agreed to do Season 7 if she knew he would be a part of it. Can you blame her for not wanting to hang out with her toxic ex-boyfriend from 10 years ago?
Sammi explained, “Things were said back when we broke up. There’s nothing that needs to be said at all from his end to me, from my end to him. Like, I’m good. I don’t need closure. I’m good, we’re good.”
Sammi might not have needed closure, but it seems like she’s about to get some anyway. The Season 7 trailer shows a glimpse of Ron arriving at their vacation house. He set his bags down and declared, “I feel like this is where I belong.”
