Presently, most viewers would agree that Ariana Madix is the driving force behind Vanderpump Rules Season 11. However, some fans would also argue that she’s become too big for the show.
2023 started on a sour note for Ariana, what with the Scandoval of it all. But since then, she’s been thriving. She released a book, competed in Dancing with the Stars, and underwent the process of opening a sandwich shop with Katie Maloney (which might actually open at some point).
Of course, above all this was Broadway. Ariana’s dreams came true when she was cast as the lead in Chicago. With all this success, it sort of begs the question as to whether or not Ariana truly needs VPR anymore.
Will Ariana quit Pump Rules for a spinoff with Katie?
In a discussion on the Vanderpump Rules subreddit, u/AccomplishedPhase750 made a post titled, “Even if this *isn’t* the last season of VPR…” The body of the post continued, “I hope it’s Ariana’s last. She has just outgrown it all. She is smart and genuinely talented, and I’d love to see her walk away from the drama and continue to level up on her own.”
The poster continued, saying Ariana was “just better than all of it,” and didn’t have to put up with it any longer. Many commenters agreed, such as one who wrote, “Exactly this, time for her & Katie to move on. They are approaching 40 & thriving. On the whole I feel like they should wrap the show up.” Multiple commenters called for a Something About Her spinoff.
However, many commenters couldn’t help but disagree. As one user wrote, “Ariana isn’t better than VPR, and once this show ends she genuinely will fade into obscurity. the show is the reason she’s on Broadway.” To that same point, multiple fans agreed that an Ariana spinoff simply would not work. As one fan put it, “Ariana and Katie alone do not have the charisma to carry a TV show.”
