Kyle Richards lost a lot of fans throughout The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13. Now, it would seem even Dorit Kemsley isn’t sure where her allegiances lie anymore.
Dorit and Kyle have been rather inseparable throughout RHOBH Season 13. No matter how bad Kyle’s behavior got, Dorit was right there to reinforce and pile on.
Of course, as fans have seen, Season 13 wasn’t exactly a success for Kyle. Despite the intense focus on her, fans didn’t love her closed-off attitude or mean girl behavior. So, what has Dorit been thinking in hindsight?
Dorit and Kyle “had to hash some things out”
Dorit spoke with Access Hollywood at the People’s Choice Awards. When asked if she and Kyle had some difficult conversations at the reunion, Dorit agreed, saying, “Definitely. Kyle and I definitely have some conversations and it’s necessary. And, you know, when you’re close it’s inevitable that you have some highs and some lows.”
She continued, “This year was strange, both independently for us and in our friendship. So, yeah, it was inevitable that we had to hash some things out.” She added that it was difficult to support Kyle throughout Season 13 given her unwillingness to discuss everything happening in her life.
“When you care about somebody it’s not about knowing all the details it’s about really feeling like they know they can always lean on you,” Dorit explained. “And you also want to defend [them], but when you don’t have the full picture and you don’t have a good understanding it’s difficult.”
She added, “But you have to wait for your friends to open up and feel comfortable. And listen, I think Kyle and I will always end up landing on our feet. I love her, I know she loves me. I hate when we’re not great, I know she hates it too.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 finale airs this Wednesday, February 21 at 8/7c on Bravo.
