Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan shocked the Bravo community this Super Bowl weekend with rumors of an alleged split. Real Housewives of Miami fans were alerted to the news when Larsa began making cryptic posts on her Instagram Stories.
“Should your friends unfollow your ex?” Larsa wrote in a poll to her followers. In another story, she shared a quote that read, “The man you choose to be your partner affects everything in your life … Choose wisely.”
The lack of subtlety was cause for alarm. On top of that, pictures of Marcus were nowhere to be found on Larsa’s IG page. Later, the split was confirmed. However, it might be far from a permanent breakup.
Larsa and Marcus waiting for “emotions” to “settle”
A source close to the power couple told PEOPLE that the split came out of left field over Super Bowl weekend. “It happened Friday or Saturday, but most likely on Saturday,” the source reported. “They were just with friends last Thursday or Friday and no one saw any issues and they were happy. They’ll probably get back together.”
The insider added, “It’s relationship stuff. But apparently came out of nowhere so when the emotions settle, it will maybe be fine.”
Another source confirmed the news of the weekend split, adding that the couple mutually decided to “take some time apart to re-evaluate their relationship.” This insider reported that the decision “has nothing to do with any family input, but solely for their personal growth.”
If Larsa and Marcus will “probably get back together,” that could be an awkward reunion, given just how thoroughly they scrubbed each other from their social media pages. As of now, new developments in the split are ongoing.
