There’s been a lot of chatter regarding casting for Bravo staples like The Real Housewives of Atlanta and The Real Housewives of New York. After RHONY’s successful season with their new cast, including Jenna Lyons, Sai De Silva, Brynn Whitfield, Jessel Taank, Ubah Hassan, and Erin Lichy, fans are curious who among them would make it back to the party.
Will It be the same cast? Could the network bring back former Housewives from earlier seasons? Bravo hasn’t confirmed anything yet. However, Erin spoke briefly with Housewives Nightcap about the future of the show and shot down at least one rumor.
No chance of blending “cute” RHONY Legacy with the New Era, says Erin
Now that RHONY 14 and Legacy are off the air, fans are hopeful the next season of the flagship series could feature some familiar faces. But according to Erin, Sonja Morgan stans can let that dream go.
“I could tell you that we’re not joining forces with Legacy,” she said. “It’s not happening.”
Although the Manhatten native believes the idea of working with veteran Housewives on an explosive season “would be cool,” she noted it wouldn’t make sense for the audience.
“If it’s going to be us and them, it’s going to feel like two separate groups that are, like, almost battling each other,” she said before saying they “wouldn’t be woven [together].”
“I think they’ve had a show for so many years, and now we have a show. It just doesn’t make sense.”
Season 4 of The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip, featuring popular former Housewives, including Ramona Singer, Dorinda Medley, and Luann de Lesseps, hit Peacock in December 2023. Want to know what Erin thought of her predecessors reliving their glory days in St. Barts?
“I thought it was cute, right?” she asked. “It was cute.”
