Below Deck Season 11 is officially underway, and we could not be more thrilled! Captain Kerry Titheradge is already doing a great job leading the crew, following his brief gig on Below Deck Adventure. Viewers can expect a few surprises on Season 11, including an unforeseen Bravo crossover. Season 11 will feature an iconic Real Housewives star as a charter guest, and it’s none other than Jill Zarin.
Jill Zarin Will Be A Charter Guest This Season
Jill will be the surprise charter guest on Below Deck Season 11, and we know hardcore Bravo fans will be obsessed! The Real Housewives of New York City alum served as a main cast member from Seasons 1 through 4, and later returned as a guest. Jill’s Bravo stint isn’t over quite yet, however, as she will be sailing with Captain Kerry and the rest of the Below Deck crew this season.
While RHONY fans will certainly be pumped to see Jill, some of the Below Deck crew members were not. Chief Stew Fraser Olender dished the tea on Jill to Andy Cohen, where he revealed she was the most difficult guest of the season. This is not much of a surprise, as the Real Housewives are known for being extravagant and demanding. It will be interesting to see Jill’s preference sheet and just how much of a diva she will be on board.
Which Other Housewife Has Captain Kerry Crossed Paths With?
This will not be Captain Kerry’s first interaction with a Real Housewives star, as he ran into another not long ago on Below Deck Adventure. That special guest was none other than Heather Gay, one of the most iconic women from Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Heather had been a fan of Below Deck for years and finally decided to give her own charter a try.
Heather and her crew had a great experience during their charter, and left as very happy guests. After her time onboard, Heather noted that being there live and in person made her realize how hard the crew works behind the scenes. One of the things I love about Heather is how down to earth she is. It’s likely that Jill will be a bit more nagging of the crew than Heather was.
Nonetheless, Captain Kerry’s experience with one Real Housewives star should prepare him adequately for his next. Another Bravo star onboard is a big deal, so hopefully Captain Kerry and the crew can handle it!
Why Are Bravo Crossovers So Fun?
I’ve been a big fan of crossovers ever since the Disney Channel ones I would watch as a kid. When it comes to Bravo, however, the crossovers are just extra special. While Below Deck and the Real Housewives shows all fall under the Bravo umbrella, they are so different. One deals with the lives of yachting crews, while the other follows the luxurious lives of women in various cities.
That being said, there is a lot that brings the entire Bravoverse together. One of the biggest things would be BravoCon, where stars from all of the Bravo shows meet and mingle every year. After her time on Below Deck Adventure, Heather was able to reunite with some of the crew at BravoCon, which is pretty cool.
It’s also a ton of fun to see your favorites from one show on another that you enjoy. Heather, in particular is a big fan favorite, especially since RHOSLC is still pretty fresh. While it has been longer since Jill was a main cast member on RHONY, she was pretty popular with fans as well. It will definitely be interesting to see how her charter goes.
What Other Struggles Will Below Deck Season 11 Face?
While Jill might be one of Below Deck Season 11’s biggest challenges, she will not be its only challenge. The season trailer teases a lot of trouble for the crew this season, ranging from problematic guests to boatmances. While it is certainly frustrating for the crew, some of these things are what make Below Deck so enjoyable for us viewers. This season is sure to be a wild ride in every way!
