The former queen of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Lisa Vanderpump, has a lot going for her. She has her own villa, ponies, swans, huge kitchen, pool, thriving business; the list goes on and on. So, what in the world does Mrs. LVP have to be jealous about? Not a whole lot is the answer. I doubt Lisa sits idly by thinking of others who are no longer serving a purpose in her life.
Even though Lisa isn’t exactly a figurehead on Vanderpump Rules anymore, as her former employees have grown up and flown the coop, she still makes an effort to sit down for a catch-up, making sure everyone knows she is still the face of the show. Nowadays, Lisa has more important things to do like be a grandmother and think up new ideas to make money.
There is no way she is at home with a cup of tea, twiddling her thumbs and thinking about how the green-eyed monster might sneak out. But that’s not how Bethenny Frankel sees it. The former Real Housewives of New York City star thinks LVP is jealous of her. But let’s get one thing clear: Lisa Vanderpump is definitely not jealous of Bethenny Frankel.
B Has Ideas
On an episode of her ReWives podcast, Bethenny hypothesized that Lisa wasn’t happy with Rachel Leviss. The main crux of Bethenny’s argument is that the SUR owner is upset that Rachel shared her story on Bethenny’s other podcast, Just B, instead of returning to Vanderpump Rules. Beth called Lisa “bitter” and a victim of “epic jealousy.” Yikes, she isn’t holding back. Bethenny had a lot of feelings on the matter, saying, “Cry me a river. Where was she going to share her story? At Pump? Over some rosé that she’s recovered from and trauma? I don’t think so.”
Bethenny might just have a point. It would probably seem like Rachel was thrown back to the wolves if she did go back to SUR. Bethenny hammered her opinion home, noting, “Sorry, not sorry that we’re still all bitter that Raquel, months ago, came on my podcast and is thrilled she did.”
Lisa Still Has a Job
Could it be that Bethenny, not Lisa, is the one who’s bit jealous? I mean, Lisa’s work relationship with Bravo is still going strong, while Beth just lit fire to every bridge she ever had with the network. The 90210 housewife left on her own terms and never looked back. Lisa has a plethora of options when it comes to her still having a career in show business. The mother of two has a new spin-off, The Valley and Vanderpump Villa. She has also done Overserved and Vanderpump Dogs. So, her repertoire is a bit larger when it comes to TV than Bethenny.
Bethenny did have her fair share of spinoffs, too: Bethenny Getting Married, Bethenny & Fredrik, and The Big Shot with Bethenny. However, none caught fire as well as Lisa’s projects have. I don’t think either woman is hurting for money. Lisa might be the more successful one, but I’d have to look at the numbers.
Rachel Come Back
I could see Lisa and the rest of the Vanderpump Rules cast being highly annoyed that Rachel chose to take away a major storyline from Season 11. However, I wouldn’t go as far as to believe Lisa was actually still fuming over the matter. Yes, ratings are huge in a business like this, but it all comes back to Lisa not caring whose podcast the former model was on but the simple fact that she left the series high and dry.
I will say the premiere of Vanderpump Rules Season 11 was boring, so maybe it did need Rachel. Tom Sandoval was barely filmed, Ariana Madix was mad, and the rest of the cast just sat around like bumps on a log. I can totally understand why everyone would be a bit peeved with Rachel ditching them, but I wouldn’t go as far as calling anyone jealous.
Perhaps Bethenny is just trying to make her interview with the homewrecker relevant again. But we are all tired of the affair. I mean, stop trying to make Scandoval 2.0 happen.
