Another Bravolebrity is heading to Lifetime! This time, it’s former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna and her daughter, Delilah Hamlin. The two are teaming up for a new movie called Mommy Meanest, and Rinna is taking on a huge role in the project. Not only is she starring, but Rinna is also serving as a producer for the film! Let’s get into the details.
A mother-daughter movie project
The premise of Mommy Meanest is about a mom who cyberbullies her own daughter. Sounds crazy, right? According to a press release from Lifetime, Rinna will play the mom, whose name is Madelyn.
Madelyn’s daughter Mia is getting ready to leave for college when she starts getting relentlessly cyberbullied. As the texts become increasingly threatening, Rinna’s character makes it her mission to get to the bottom of it. Somehow, Mia eventually learns that it’s actually her mom behind the texts. Apparently, this is all based on a true story, which makes it even juicier.
For some odd reason, Delilah isn’t playing Rinna’s daughter in the movie. Instead, she’ll be appearing as one of Mia’s friends named Summer. Perhaps she was too busy with her “music career” to take on a bigger role in the movie with her mom.
Rinna is just the latest Bravolebrity to land a deal with Lifetime. Garcelle Beauvais, Tom Sandoval, Ariana Madix, and NeNe Leakes have all recently been booked in Lifetime movies. Clearly, someone at Lifetime loves the Bravolebs just as much as we do.
Mommy Meanest just got the green light, so there’s currently no release date yet. We’ll definitely be keeping our eyes out for more updates on the project as it moves into production.
