The much beloved Real Housewives of New York City was given a total overhaul for Season 14, and to fans’ surprise, we actually loved it. It helped that we had the icon that is Brynn Whitfield and we learned quickly if anyone made her mad, she would just go on to date their dad. Brynn is a resourceful woman who knows how to get what she wants, and I just can’t hate her for having that kind of spunk.
Move over Tinsley Mortimer, as Brynn has become the true showman of the franchise. The newest Bravo star has a great sense of humor, but her quick references and wit show she’s definitely a smart cookie. Personally, I want to see more from the public relations guru, and I have theories on why we’ll probably see Brynn Whitfield returning next season.
Brynn Left Fans an Egg
Recently, Brynn took to her Instagram Story, via Reddit, to share how her egg retrieval process was going. While followers were excited to hear about her fertility update, a few eagle-eyed fans noticed she also dropped a hint about filming for Season 15. The 37-year-old was sharing she would be putting herself through another round of IVF, revealing, “I think late summer/ whenever we wrap filming Season 15.” With this hint, all indications point that we will be seeing the fiery redhead back on our small screens soon.
Brynn has been blogging about her IVF journey a lot, which has included traveling to the UK to have the procedures done because it is cheaper than in the United States. Now, if I were a betting woman, I would say this would be a huge storyline for Brynn, with Bravo cameras probably not too far behind catching every moment. She also noted she had friends in London, which made me immediately feel as if there could be a Ladies of London reboot, too! A girl can dream.
Brynn Is a Star
Brynn is a character, and even though her schtick is a little over the top for the most part, she is pretty harmless. The last few seasons of RHONY were exhausting to watch: heavy. Everything was made into a teachable moment, and while there is a time and place, RHONY just became hard to watch. There is no doubt in my mind that Brynn lightened up the mood. Whether it was her flirting with her co-stars’ hubbies or breaking Jenna Lyons’ bedroom chair, she was a hoot. It’s exactly why we’d love to see Brynn return for RHONY Season 15.
Brynn Is Vulnerable
What I loved so much about Brynn was her vulnerability when opening up to the group of women about how she grew up in an unstable family life. Her father was in and out of jail for most of her life, and even though they reconciled on his deathbed, she still struggled with their relationship. Her mother also had similar issues with the mother and daughter never reconnecting. Viewers learned holidays looked a lot different for Brynn as she and her brother were raised by her grandmother after she was adopted.
Brynn Is Iconic
There have been some clues that Brynn was going to be returning to the series. One major hint was how popular she was at BravoCon 2023. She became the talk of the town after her red bottoms got caught in the escalator, with memes going viral. Over the last few months, Brynn has also made sure to keep her interaction on social media with fans high and has been constantly posting RHONY content the remind everyone that she brings Big Brynn Energy.
Brynn is also a polarizing character, but most fans seem to want her back. In the Reddit thread, one fan wrote, “She’s so bloody fabulous! Pretty, smart, with a bit of kooky,” and another added, “I like Brynn. She’s a b*tch, but she knows she’s a b*tch, and she’s okay with that.” Brynn has a lightness that is unparalleled, and frankly, Bravo needs more of that. Bottle up whatever that feeling Brynn has and sell it.
