Tom Sandoval is looking for love, in case you’re into villainous reality TV stars with a penchant for white nail polish and cheating. The Vanderpump Rules star says he’s “ready to protect someone’s heart,” and if you believe that, you’ll believe anything.
Sandoval was reflecting on his terrible, horrible, no good, very bad 12 months alongside best friend Tom Schwartz on podcast, The Viall Files. Host Nick Viall was asking all the big questions, when he finally got Sandoval in to record the pod, after he turned up super-late.
Keep your hearts hidden away, Sandoval’s out to play
“Am I ready to protect somebody’s heart? Yes, of course I am,” Sandoval said to Nick. But who would be willing to trust him? And would his friend, Schwartz, help him out on his mission for love?
Schwartz admitted the prospect of setting Sandoval up with somebody “scares” him. He added that this wasn’t said “for shock value,” but because he “would never want him to set me up with someone.”
“No guy likes to be set up,” Nick replied. “I’m just asking you, would you trust someone you care about to date Tom Sandoval today?”
“It depends on the person,” came Schwartz’s response. That’s not exactly an answer that should fill Sandoval with confidence.
If you don’t believe Sandoval, don’t worry. He promises he’s changed. “I’m just trying to be a better person, I swear to god,” Sandoval said. “Like, I really am.”
Perhaps he needs to learn that accusing the ex HE cheated on of being “petty” in the wake of their split doesn’t sit well alongside that claim.
