Lisa Hochstein has not been dealt the easiest of cards on The Real Housewives Of Miami Season 6 so far. The mother of two is still fresh on the heels of her divorce from plastic surgeon Lenny Hochstein. After thirteen years of marriage, Lenny officially filed for divorce from Lisa in May 2022. Unfortunately, the events to follow were anything but simple.
Several months after the split, Lisa claimed that her divorce from Lenny had put her into a difficult situation financially. The RHOM star alleged that Lenny used the divorce to his advantage and would only allow her to access finances if she complied with his requests.
It did not take long for Lenny to move on to Katharina Mazepa, who played a controversial role in his split with Lisa. Lisa noticed how quickly Lenny began dating Katharina, and declared that the two had had an affair while he was still married to her. Lenny and Katharina denied these claims, and Katharina even filed for a restraining order against Lisa. She alleged that Lisa had made threatening phone calls and created fake social media accounts to harass her.
Lisa and Lenny’s conflict did not end there, however, as Lenny later filed a suit against Lisa for defamation. Lisa had shared photos on social media of a bruise on her arm, alleging that Lenny had physically abused her. Lenny denied the allegations, and brought the defamation lawsuit after arguing that his reputation was on the line.
Despite her clearly difficult past, RHOM fans have recently found themselves having a hard time sympathizing with Lisa. We love her, but for the following reasons, we, too, have also found it difficult to have sympathy for Lisa Hochstein.
Lisa Talks About Lenny To Her Friends WAY Too Much
We get it, Lisa is having a hard time dealing with her divorce, and understandably so. Divorce is brutal, especially when custody battles regarding children are involved. However, as with everything else in life, there is a time and a place to discuss it.
Lisa’s good friend Larsa Pippen recently called her out for oversharing about her divorce, and the other women agreed. While it is understandable that Lenny would come up in conversation from time to time, Lisa talks about her ex-husband excessively. It is to the point where it is frustrating for Lisa’s friends to hear her vent about her divorce over and over, and we can’t blame them for that.
Furthermore, a number of the other RHOM women have gone through divorces themselves, but they have not approached them the same way Lisa has. By continuing to make Lenny the main subject of conversation, Lisa is only doing injustice to herself. In order to fully move on and heal, it is crucial that Lisa focuses on the positives in her life, rather than the negatives. This makes it somewhat hard to have sympathy for Lisa Hochstein.
Lisa Also Talks About Lenny Excessively To Her Boyfriend Jody
Since separating from Lenny, Lisa has moved on to a relationship with businessman Jody Glidden. While Lisa seems to be happy and content with Jody for the most part, we cannot help but notice how much she talks about Lenny to him as well.
Again, it would be understandable for Lenny to come up from time to time, but his name is mentioned in nearly every conversation Lisa has with Lenny. This is borderline toxic, as it is never a good idea to constantly discuss an ex with a current romantic partner. Jody has shown that he really cares about Lisa, and it is unfair to him to have to hear about Lenny all the time.
Lisa Left Her Kids Alone At Home After Calling The Police
In one of her more controversial moments on RHOM, Lisa made the decision to leave her kids at home after calling the police on Lenny and his mother. To be very clear, this is in no way meant to call Lisa a bad parent. It is just strange that she would leave them so soon after calling the police.
After calling the police, Lisa put her two kids to bed before heading out to a party hosted by her friend Julia Lemigova. These are the actions that make it hard to have sympathy for Lisa Hochstein, as viewers don’t understand why she would leave her kids after something so serious.
