Like Beyoncé said: If you’ve got it, flaunt it. And Lisa Barlow took that to heart, especially when it came to glam. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star has revealed throughout Season 4 of the hit Bravo series that she loves, loves, loves to spend money. A sh*t ton of money at that.
In case you forgot, Lisa became unhinged when she couldn’t find her $60K ring in an airport bathroom in Palm Springs. Wait, what am I talking about? You didn’t forget! She wouldn’t shut up about her ring the entire episode. However, losing her cool over her misplaced band wasn’t her only meltdown on vacation. The reality star also had a dramatic tantrum when she found out the cast was doing a “drag-inspired” makeup challenge and was encouraged not to use glam.
And according to the mother of two, she pays a staggering amount of money yearly for a personal makeup artist. Read on to find out why.
Lisa spends $60,000 on glam
After hearing the cast of RHOSLC was challenged to create a drag-inspired look, Lisa actually lost her cool. She cried … and cried until somebody let up and gave in to her complaining. Later, in an interview, she revealed she spends a jaw-dropping $60K on glam per year.
“I spend on average $60,000 a year on glam. I get my makeup done daily. My makeup artist is on retainer,” Lisa revealed. “It’s not just when I’m on girls’ trips, it’s not when I’m hanging out — it’s for me to go to the grocery store.”
During the RHOSLC Season 4 reunion, Andy Cohen asked the Vida Tequila owner about her glam journey, specifically when she last did her own makeup.
“Probably 2019,” she answered, to which Andy replied, “You have a makeup artist on retainer?”
“Every day,” Lisa declared. “Every day, I have glam. No matter where I’m going, I have glam every day.”
If you’re wondering if her makeup artists touch her up throughout the day, that would be a negative.
“No … [it’s] glam and go,” Lisa said. “It’s what I like.”
During the conversation, Lisa added context, stating that her poor eyesight is part of the reason she spends someone’s yearly salary on makeup products she wipes clean at the end of the night.
“Yeah, I actually can’t see that great,” Lisa explained. “I literally can’t see to do my own makeup, like it would kill me.”
“But I don’t want to [do my makeup]!” Lisa said, defending her position. “I told [my husband] John [Barlow], ‘I’m gonna die in glam and draped in diamonds.’ Those are my things.”
